About Chris Barry

Chris is the smart, funny, frequently sarcastic dad you love to chat with about sports, fantasy football, movies, and the ridiculous thing your kid just did.

An actor from age 10, with appearances in more than 20 productions, Chris’s passion for performing served him well in his successful ed tech marketing career. He got his start in voiceover creating marketing videos at Pearson Education, and turned his talent into a professional voice-over and voice acting career.

Chris trained professionally at Such a Voice under inimitable voice coach Tim Powers, masterclass instructor Justine Reiss, and producer Ed Renninger.

Chris’s friendly, authentic, neutral / Midwestern baritone voice connects with a wide range of audiences. His voice is perfect for conversational commercials, corporate videos, and elearning, but he can also tug on the emotional heartstrings, deliver an energetic, exciting sound, or give you a unique character voice.

Chris specializes in commercials, explainer videos, elearning and training, corporate videos, documentaries, narration, dubbing, and animation, where he does a variety of character voices. In addition to voiceover, he offers writing, editing, and proofreading services.

Outside the Booth

When he’s not recording, Chris can be found spending time with his amazing family. He loves hitting the pickleball court with his wife, watching his daughter kill it onstage, and witnessing his son tear it up on the flag football field.

His other passions include skiing, fantasy football, and cheering on his beloved University of Michigan football team.
